Kira Manusis ophthalmologist I was raised in Brooklyn, where the richness of a public school education connected me with many inspiring people who helped shape my path. My college biology professor became a pivotal mentor, guiding me towards earning two distinguished scholarships and instilling in me the value of lifelong mentorship.

My journey led me to NYU School of Medicine, where a thoughtful Dean introduced me to ophthalmology — an encounter that defined the trajectory of my professional life. Completing my residency at the esteemed New York Eye and Ear Infirmary provided a strong foundation for my career and allowed me to pursue my passion: improving vision and caring for patients.

I’ve come to appreciate that true success is rooted in collaboration. Without the unwavering support of peers, colleagues, family, and friends, providing the highest level of patient care would not be possible.

Today, I reside in New York with my partner, our two children, and our dog. As a family, we cherish both grand adventures and simple outings, always appreciating quality time with our extended family.
